The Ferrari Founder's history tells a lot about what makes his brand so very special.
Whether you need Ferrari factory scheduled maintenance, a brake job, an engine overhaul, or anything in between; Forza is your source for factory trained Ferrari service and repairs.
The vehicle you drive reveals more about you than you might think. It’s deeper than the color of the paint and even more personal than the shape the seat. It involves ideology and loyalty; love and respect. The pros at Forza Tuning and Performance relate to this invisible connection between driver and automobile.
When Enzo Ferrari first began building cars, back in 1929, he had no idea that Ferrari vehicles would become some of the most desired and capable street cars on the planet.
You see, Enzo had no plans to build street cars, but chose instead to produce competition machines from his headquarters in Modena, Italy.
Doing business as Scuderia Ferrari (Ferrari Stable), Enzo began campaigning Alfa Romeo race cars. In 1933, Alfa Romeo placed their Grand Prix cars in the hands of Ferrari. In 1938, Alfa Romeo fielded an in-house racing team and hired Enzo as manager. Scuderia Ferrari was no more.
In September of 1940 Enzo parted ways with Alfa Romero with the stipulation that he would not field race cars under the Ferrari name for at least four years. Headquartered in the facilities of the old Scuderia Ferrari, Enzo began producing machine tools and aircraft accessories under the moniker Auto Avio Costruzioni. In 1940 Ferrari produced a race car based on a vehicle platform from Fiat. The Tipo 815 debuted at a race called the Mille Miglia but saw sparse action due to World War II.
In 1943 the Scuderia Ferrari moved to Maranello, Italy where is remains until this day. After it was bombed by U.S. Allies, it was rebuilt with a road car assembly plant included. In 1947 the Ferrari 125S Barchetta, powered by a 1.5-liter V12 engine, was produced as the first car to ever wear the legendary Ferrari badge. Enzo reluctantly continued to build and sell street cars in order to fund the Scuderia Ferrari racing division.
Today, modern Ferrari street cars draw onlookers everywhere they go. Vintage and classic Ferrari models draw huge crowds and record bids at auction. For those fortunate enough to own one, the most important bit of personal Ferrari history could rest on your choice for Ferrari repair service.
